Padawan Municipal Council Chairman Cr Tan Kai said the council was ready to assist agencies in tackling the recurring fire at the used tyre factory at Mile 9 by providing an excavator to help contain the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire, which has repeatedly reignited since late October, flared up again and required response teams from Kota Samarahan and Kota Sentosa fire stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tan Kai said MPP immediately sent a JCB excavator to support the Natural Resources and Environment Board at the scene. He added that MPP was also assisting Kota Samarahan Municipal Council as the location was close to the MPP office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said MPP and MPKS have always maintained a good working relationship and often assist each other under the flag of the Ministry of Public Health, Local Government and Housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NREB expressed its appreciation to MPP for the prompt assistance in helping to put out the fire once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
