Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has reaffirmed its friendship with the Geumsan County Government of South Korea, marking ten years since the signing of their first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MPP Chairman, Cr. Tan Kai, who led the delegation to Geumsan alongside Acting Municipal Secretary, Ir. Ts. Goh Thiam Ho, said the visit reflected MPP\u2019s commitment to strengthen cooperation in technology, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, and trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe value our partnership with Geumsan County and believe that this friendship will continue to flourish beyond the 10th anniversary of the MoU. Our cooperation should bring about more tangible results in the years to come,\u201d he said after attending the 43rd Geumsan K-Insam Festival at the invitation of Geumsan County Mayor, Park Beom-In.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the delegation toured several significant sites, including the Geumsan Ginseng Market, Boseoksa Temple, a ginseng processing plant, and the Geumsan Ginseng Museum, which showcased the county\u2019s cultural heritage and economic strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tan Kai added that Padawan could learn from Geumsan\u2019s success in promoting its products and culture globally. \u201cPadawan should also strengthen its eco-tourism and local products so that they can gain international recognition. I hope MPP will be able to host an international festival in Padawan in the near future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation also held official visits with the Geumsan County Council and Government Office to explore further avenues of collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also present was Cr. Niput Ahip, Chairman of MPP\u2019s Market, Licensing, and Enforcement Standing Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
