The JIWA @ MADANI community programme was held on Saturday at the Kampung Pulau Melayu community hall in conjunction with the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme, jointly organised by the Miri Information Department and the Kampung Pulau Melayu community, highlighted unity and active community participation through activities centred on family, arts and village life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak and Piasau assemblyman Sebastian Ting thanked the Kampung Pulau Melayu community for their close cooperation in making the celebration a success, saying it reflected the unity and patriotism of Sarawakians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSuch celebrations are not just annual events, but serve as important platforms to strengthen community ties and promote the spirit of patriotism,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme featured a range of activities, including a children\u2019s colouring contest, motorcycle decoration competition, patriotic quiz, the 2025 National Day motorcycle convoy, as well as a symbolic flag-hoisting ceremony involving government agencies and residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A prize-giving ceremony and lucky draw hosted by Councillor Lawrence Low added to the festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
