The temporary rock protection installed along Lutong Beach is proving effective in withstanding strong waves, said Piasau State Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ting, who visited the site, noted that despite aggressive wave activity, the rocks had successfully prevented seawater from reaching the road, a situation that has occurred in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe were at Lutong Beach and are happy to report that the temporary rock protection along the beach here is holding good and effective,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also pointed out that today marks the 7th day of the lunar calendar, with high tide recorded at 1.9 meters around 1.46pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWithout these rocks, it is likely that the sea water might have reached our road again,\u201d Ting added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He assured the public that monitoring efforts will continue until a permanent coastal protection solution is implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
