The Borneo Highlands Resident Club (BHRC) is urging landowners who have not yet registered themselves under BHRC to do so urgently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of BHRC, Batu Kitang assemblyman Dato Lo Khere Chiang, raised concerns about the inability to access the complete list of landowners, hindering the distribution of vital information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBHRC serves as the communication centre between the landowners and government agencies or departments. Unfortunately, we do not have the complete list and contact details to disseminate important information,\u201d Lo stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made these remarks during the second annual general meeting (AGM) of the Borneo Highlands Resident Club (BHRC) held at Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant last night (Dec 20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Lo emphasized that a registered resident can play a significant role in the future development of the Borneo Highlands Resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think as residents of Borneo Highlands, it is our duty to do what is best for BHRC,\u201d Lo said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease spread the word to the lot owners who are not yet members about the benefits and privileges of being members of BHRC,\u201d Lo urged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BHRC\u2019s objectives include safeguarding residents\u2019 and property owners\u2019 rights, ensuring security services, updating authorities on infrastructure improvements, generating income for club operations, and organizing cultural and recreational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 30 people attended the AGM, including committee members, residents, and their spouses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting tabled various committee reports as well as election for the committee 2024-2025. A fellowship dinner followed to celebrate the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being an officially registered club under the Registrar of Societies since 2022, Lo expressed gratitude to members, citing an eventful year filled with engagement with members and government agencies to fulfil BHRC\u2019s constitutional objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis has been an eventful year. We engaged not only with our members but also with government agencies such as Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS), and Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS), to fulfil the objectives enshrined in the constitution of our club,\u201d Lo stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
