{"id":31133,"date":"2023-09-03T09:50:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-03T01:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=31133"},"modified":"2023-09-14T09:53:53","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T01:53:53","slug":"chinese-education-in-sarawak-for-all-races","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=31133","title":{"rendered":"Chinese education in Sarawak for all races"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There are 60,000 students in the 222 Chinese Primary Schools in Sarawak of which 38% of the students in Chinese Schools are Bumiputras, said Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said in Sarawak, Chinese schools cater to all races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it is SJKC, he said Federal Ministry of Education only responsible for teachers salary and operational cost but not fund construction of new school blocks, relocation of schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He disclosed that since 2020, Premier Abg Jo had allocated annual funding for these purposes.  It started with RM 8 million in 2020, to RM10 million in 2021 and RM12 million in 2022.
