“Under the theme ‘Malaysia Madani: Unity, Determination, Realization of Hopes’ for this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day, we jointly aspire for Malaysia’s future to steadfastly progress towards stability, advancement, tranquility, and prosperity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tay emphasized the paramount importance of unity among diverse ethnic groups, a spirit deeply embedded in Malaysia’s history. He mentioned that Sarawak’sPremier, Abang Johari, also underscored that this spirit of unity isn’t just the foundation of Malaysia’s formation, but also a precious treasure from our history, starting from the independence of Malaya in 1957 and the subsequent formation of Malaysia in 1963 by joining Malaya, Sarawak, and Sabah. This spirit, Cheng Chih Koo believes, should be continuously upheld and celebrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
