This project is owned by PETROS Power Sdn. Bhd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Miri City Council has approved the following: 1) Mobilisation of heavy machineries; 2) The installation of construction project signages; and 3) Installation of temporary traffic warning signages,\u201d said Mayor YB Adam Yii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the earthworks is an essential step in preparing the ground for the Miri CCGT Power Plant, a facility designed to enhance energy production efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The earthwork project duration will take approximately 11 months to complete, and any further updates will be given accordingly. During the earthwork activities, you will expect traffic congestions, as heavy machineries and vehicle movement will increase around the project site. And there will be noise and dust within the project fenceline area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe public is urged to take safety precautions by adhering to the strict safety measures implemented and to respect all the safety signages, barricades and directions from the site personnel and the authorities. Please avoid the site work zone unless necessary,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any inconveniences caused is truly regretted. The Miri City Council and the project owner\u2019s main commitment is to ensure the safety of the residents, public, road users and the environment.
