{"id":30743,"date":"2022-10-21T12:53:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-21T04:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=30743"},"modified":"2022-10-24T12:55:09","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T04:55:09","slug":"school-grant-for-chinese-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=30743","title":{"rendered":"School grant for Chinese schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian presented an annual grant to nine Sarawak Chinese Middle Schools from Miri, Bintulu and Sibu recently.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Sim who presented the grant at Sarawak United Peoples party (SUPP) headquarters said Chinese Education in Sarawak is for all races.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Since 2014, Adenan started with RM3 million and continue by Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg Abg Jo with an additional RM 1 million every year until it reaches RM10 million last year.  This year, we got another RM10 million&#8221; , he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides that, he pointed out that the State government recognises Unified Examination certificate (UEC) and Premier also gave state land to construct schools, RM 10 million not only to middle schools but also to chinese primary school whole this year, a total of RM 10 million was given to Middle Schools and RM12 million to Chinese Primary Schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanking the Federation of Chinese Middle School Board for a formula to share out to 14 schools in Sarawak, Dr Sim said it is inevitable that Sarawak Government financial grants will fall short of some of the schools overall financial expenditure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, he added thst, for some people, they may be late to pay for electricity, water bills but the teachers salary should always be on time.
