{"id":28649,"date":"2021-06-24T13:38:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T05:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28649"},"modified":"2021-06-29T13:42:44","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T05:42:44","slug":"drive-through-swab-test-project-completed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28649","title":{"rendered":"Drive through swab test project completed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting is pleased to note that the drive through swab test at Indoor stadium, a project undertaken by NGO, \u201cKita Jaga Miri\u201d has been completed and will be handed over to Ministry of Health Miri (KKM) this coming Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the drive in swab test is for the elderly, pregnant women and the OKU who have difficulty going for the swab test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ting said the project was made possible by people who had donated to the Miri Hospital lab where there was a surplus and the people who continued to donate in kind and cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noting that cases of positive covid 19 has gone down in recent days, Ting hoped that with less people coming in for swab test, they suggested to the KKM Miri and SDMC Miri to have the Indoor stadium to be turned into a vaccination centre. The indoor stadium has a capacity of holding 4000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also congratulated Sarawak for having vaccinated 910,000 and maybe the first state to achieve herd immunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ting urged the public who had not registered to do so to protect themselves and their families. Vaccine is the only solution, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asking the public to be patient and kind to frontliners who have been working tirelessly during these two years, Ting said there may be hiccups at times but it is better to be kind and appreciate the assistance of the frontliners in this difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He congratulated the NGO for their assistance and KKM for approval of such a concept.
