Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting is pleased that the Sarawak government has listened to public opinion and announced the resumption of strict movement control orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hoped that the people of Sarawak would continue to play an examplery role and cooperate with the Sarawak government in pursuing a self-disciplined life, so that the enforcement order would achieve a multiplier effect of epidemic prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ting pointed out that Sarawak government announced the restriction of open house on the eve of the Gawai Dayakfestival, which will more effectively prevent the outbreak of infections during the festive season. He thanked the people of Miri for actively participating in the polls he conducted on his Facebook page, allowing the Sarawak government to see the requests and suggestions of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that strict movement control orders, especially for industries and the workforce, have been late but again it is better to be late than not doing anything about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ting who is also a state assemblyman for Piasau, said that the industries and grassroots life that have been affected must be given priority attention. Therefore, the implementation of the assistance package should also not be ignored. The State government has already tackled it and members of the public are appreciative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
