Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting said a group, KITA JAGA MIRI and his Piasau team will start a fundraising campaign to raise a sum of Ringgit Malaysia One million (RM1, 000,000.)to build a new labortary or to have an extension of the present Molecular Lab at Miri Hospital, and to purchase one unit of PCR and one unit of Automated Extractor to compliment the work done by Miri Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said with the new Molecular Lab, they hope that results of the swab tests will be able to be released as soon as possible to anxious individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meaningful project is for all Miri people and Ting appealed to all in Miri, irrespective of our political divide, to be united to see that the project will be successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the number of Covid 19 positive cases in Miri is considered high and alarming causing fatality. And the figures appear to have an upward surge daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Indoor Stadium is normally full with many people going for swab test and there are times when the figures hit 1000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KITA JAGA MIRI is represented by Sean Huang, President of Rotary Club of Miri Oil Town and Youth Chairman of Federated Chinese Association Miri, Gurvir Singh Sandhu Chairman of Advocates Association of Sarawak Branch, James Hii, Chairman of Sheda Miri Branch and James Chin an Architect, who is also a member of RCMOT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
