{"id":28343,"date":"2021-04-25T11:58:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-25T03:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28343"},"modified":"2021-04-29T11:59:34","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T03:59:34","slug":"lo-khere-chiang-says-mpp-never-neglects-its-parks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28343","title":{"rendered":"Lo Khere Chiang says MPP never neglects its parks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Throughout these years, MPP has unfailingly done its level best in carrying out maintenance works at all the parks under MPP\u2019s area of jurisdiction, said MPP Chairman, Lo Khere Chiang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In responding to Violet Yong&#8217;s comment which stated that MPP did not do so, Lo said Yong failed to understand that this Park known as RPR Batu Kawa was developed more than 30 years ago and was definitely not new. The Council has never neglect any of its parks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Naturally and as always, I welcome genuine residents\u2019 complaints which assist the Council to address positively on these issues. All residents under my MPP jurisdiction can approach me or my staff at MPP to voice their concerns and seek assistance and naturally we do our level best to assist them on a timely basis, &#8221; he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than this park, Lo explained that the Council have other recreational parks which are recently completed or upgraded such as Batu Kawa Riverbank Park Phase 2, Sri Moyan Recreational Park, Taman Kwong Tiong Recreational Park, MJC Batu Kawa Recreational Park, Taman Stapok Utama Recreational Park.  At the same time, there are also few new parks under construction such as Batu Kawa Riverbank Park Phase 1 &amp; 4 and Sport\/ Community Hall with Innovative Hub which serves the community at large.  And these are in addition to the two new recreational parks at Batu 10 and Batu 11, Kota Padawan which  cater the needs of all living and within the surrounding areas in MPP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The importance of parks and recreational areas is more than just having green space for the community. Parks are now equipped with jogging or walking tracks and some have children playground equipment. Residents, children and the local communities would all benefit from having a nearby park or any of the new parks which have been put in place in MPP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MPP, he added, has always appreciate constructive criticisms and helpful unprejudiced comments which are truly beneficial to the communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yong, he said, despite being a so-called responsible politician only pick on alleged faults of MPP.  She failed to appreciate the good efforts by the Council all these years because she is not from our Batu Kawa community being the elected representative from Pending. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo wondered why Yong has not served her own constituents just as well as she is such a busy body picking on the alleged faults of MPP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a lawyer, he said, she ought to understand the principles of law better in that a person or organisation should be given an opportunity to get round to rectify any alleged oversights within a reasonable time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Council has so many parks to maintain and I believe has done it to an appreciable, maintainable level within the resources that it has.
