SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief Wilfred Yap went to the ground after hearing complaints that they were not satisfied with the upkeep and maintenance of Taman Rekreasi Mei Lee Villa. One of the residents who spoke on the behalf of the residents had requested for an inspection of the condition of the recreation park by officers from Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the complaint and request for assistance received, Yap had immediately highlighted and brought up the matter to the attention of the Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP). Officers from MPP in charge of the supervision of the maintenance and upkeep of the recreation park have requested the grass cutting contractor to jointly inspect and assess the situation. During the joint inspection at Taman Rekreasi Mei Lee Villa, MPP had instructed their grass cutting contractor to carry out the required works properly under the scope of their contract with MPP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yap who is also SUPP Kota Sentosa Chairman viewed the above matter seriously and will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that all the works required are carried out and completed properly at Taman Rekreasi Mei Lee Villa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Keeping our environment and surroundings clean and hygenic is a collective duty and not solely the responsibility of MPP. At the same time, Wilfred Yap would like to encourage the public to play their role by assisting MPP through reporting or lodging a complaint if they see or come across anyone illegally dumping their garden waste by the roadside or at recreation parks. The public can report to MPP the offenders who dispose garden waste indiscriminately by giving MPP the information. A photo of the offender of illegal garden waste dumping taken from a hand phone will be very effective in identifying the offender or offenders. Everyone should play our role in keeping our roadside free of garden waste and public recreation parks environmentally clean and pleasant”, he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
