{"id":26385,"date":"2020-06-26T16:48:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T08:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=26385"},"modified":"2020-06-26T23:12:04","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T15:12:04","slug":"10-million-river-embankment-project-for-batu-kawah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=26385","title":{"rendered":"10 million river embankment project for Batu Kawah\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Another RM10-million river embankment project in Batu Kawah for kampung Rantau Panjang is expected to start works next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kampung Rantau Panjang is situated at the same side of the river bank, in which the riverbank beautification project is on-going. Similiar to opposite Kampung Sinar Budi Lama case, the riverbank also experiencing serious erosion problem for quite some time \u2013 posing some safety risks to the kampung communities there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In view of this matter, Dr Sim had requested for fund allocation from the Sarawak government meant to address the issue, after he conducted several site visits and obtained feedback from the residents as well as suggestions from engineers regarding the proposed preventive measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister for Local Government and Housing Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is Batu Kawah assemblyman, make this announcement during today\u2019s site visits with the present of representatives of DID Sarawak.
