The food assistance plan provided by the Sarawak government starting from March 31 to the needy people with allocation of special funds of RM200K for each constituency benefiting more than 4,000 households at Pending constituency.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foo, who is also the deputy secretary of the SUPP Pending branch,&nbsp; pointed out in a statement today that all food materials &amp; items were purchased by the District Office and delivered to Pending constituency from time to time &amp;&nbsp; in batches. They were distributed by the local community leaders of Penghulu &amp;&nbsp; Kapitan, Councillors, Rela and volunteers who had helped to distribute or deliver to the needy families residing at Pending as well as hawkers from wet markets &amp; food centres situated in Pending, in order to assist people in overcoming the hard time during the Covid-19 outbreak.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foo also thanked groups of volunteers &amp; NGOs for their relentless help in the distribution of food aids and kind hearted donors for their generosity in donating food. Everyone has a part to play &amp; contribute, irrespective of background &amp; races, all dedicated to help others in the time of hardship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foo also condemns unfounded &amp; baseless accusations from certain quarters including the netizens in social media with malicious intention to make the food aids as an issue &amp; create hatred against the government &amp; groups of volunteers, to ridicule or smear the goodwill of the authority. At this critical time, everyone should work hand in hand together to fight against the pandemic by lending hands to one another rather than playing politics &amp; employing finger pointing tactics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also welcomes any party or non-partisan who genuinely intends to assist in the distribution or donation of food aids.
