{"id":23157,"date":"2018-10-30T21:15:56","date_gmt":"2018-10-30T13:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23157"},"modified":"2018-10-31T06:58:50","modified_gmt":"2018-10-30T22:58:50","slug":"explaining-ma-63","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23157","title":{"rendered":"Explaining MA 63"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Political analyst and author of \u2018The Queen\u2019s Obligation\u2019, Zainnal\u00a0Ajamain has took to task the recent announcement by Finance Minister\u00a0Lim Guan Eng that it will take at least a year to come up with a\u00a0formula for revenue-sharing with Sabah and Sarawak as he, Lim did not\u00a0really understand MA 63.<\/p>\n<p>Zainnal was speaking to about 200 audiences in a forum,\u201d Sarawak, Our\u00a0Future\u2019 held at Pustaka Miri yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Having a vast knowledge on MA 63, Zainnal pointed out that the federal\u00a0government has no right to determine the sharing of revenue from Sabah\u00a0and Sarawak.<\/p>\n<p>The free-admission forum was organised by Sarawak United People\u2019s\u00a0Party (SUPP) Piasau Branch and attracted over 200 participants. Piasau\u00a0State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting is the moderator and the\u00a0speaker included Datuk David Teng, an SUPP veteran.<\/p>\n<p>Among the topics discussed were MA63 and the Oil Mining Ordinance\u00a0(Amendment) Bill 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The participants were also invited to ask questions during the forum\u00a0in a Q and A session.<\/p>\n<p>Ting said the forum was brought back to ensure that Miriams understood\u00a0what MA 63 is about and how it affects their lives.
