SUPP Youth Central, following the formation of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), is of the opinion that there should also be a reshuffle in the Sarawak Cabinet to reflect the power sharing in GPS.<\/div>\n

The main agenda for SUPP Youth Central Committee Meeting held recently was focusing on the way forward for SUPP which includes discussing the prospect of GPS – \u00a0according to Michael Tiang, the Chairman of SUPP Youth Central Committee.<\/div>\n

After lengthy discussions among the youth representatives from all over Sarawak, the followings are resolutions reached:<\/div>\n
\n

(1) \u00a0 \u00a0GPS must be a political alliance that serves all races, commits to power-sharing and and adopts people centric agenda;<\/p>\n

(2) \u00a0 \u00a0GPS must not preserve any BN\u2019s old image, structures and ways. Instead the four component parties must reinvent GPS by giving Sarawak people new directions and ideas since Pakatan Harapan Government is now making efforts in building \u201cMalaysia Baru\u201d;<\/p>\n

(3) \u00a0 \u00a0there must only be four founding member parties, namely PBB, SUPP, PRS and PDP. All four shall have equal standing in the newly formed GPS, and all four must be consulted on matters and policies relating to Sarawak people\u2019s rights and interests before implementing such policies;<\/p>\n

(4) \u00a0 \u00a0since GPS is a coalition that governs Sarawak, there must be some adjustments made in the Cabinet to reflect the power sharing in GPS, in that the Chief Minister must be a nominee from any founding member party that commands the majority support in the State Assembly and a nominee each from the remaining three founding member parties shall be appointed as a Deputy Chief Minister;<\/p>\n

(5) \u00a0 \u00a0there shall be consensus reached among the four founding member parties on parliamentary and state seats allocation;<\/p>\n

(6) \u00a0 \u00a0Each member party shall have full rights and powers in deciding and nominating own candidates using GPS logo to contest in their respective state and parliamentary constituencies; and<\/p>\n

(7) \u00a0 \u00a0none of the founding member parties shall hold at any one time exceed 49% of the total number of parliamentary and state seats; and<\/p>\n

(8) \u00a0 \u00a0the GPS government should abolish any policies based on racial privilege, especially in racial composition in civil service as well as grants of state projects.<\/p>\n

The above resolutions will be submitted to the Party\u2019s Annual Delegates Conference which will be held\u00a0on\u00a0August 12, 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
