{"id":22426,"date":"2018-07-10T16:07:43","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T08:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=22426"},"modified":"2018-07-11T17:32:19","modified_gmt":"2018-07-11T09:32:19","slug":"dewan-debate-yb-lo-khere-chiang-on-oil-mining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=22426","title":{"rendered":"Dewan Debate YB Lo Khere Chiang on Oil mining"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Honourable Datuk Amar Speaker,<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for the opportunity to debate on The Oil Mining (Amendment) Ordinance (OMO) 2018.<\/p>\n<p>I wish to congratulate the minister for Urban Development and Natural Resources for tabling the Oil Mining (Amendment) Ordinance (OMO) 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed amendment of this bill reinforces the privileges of Sarawak\u2019s position on the exploitation of our own oil resources.<\/p>\n<p>All along, Sarawak&#8217;s position on OMO1958 is known to everyone, in and outside Sarawak.<\/p>\n<p>With the proposed amendment today, we are now a step nearer to gaining financial independence for Sarawak as oil is a major source of income.
