{"id":21248,"date":"2018-03-19T19:52:13","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T11:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=21248"},"modified":"2018-03-20T09:14:20","modified_gmt":"2018-03-20T01:14:20","slug":"supp-youth-lauded-decision-no-direct-candidate-be-fielded-in-coming-ge14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=21248","title":{"rendered":"SUPP youth lauded decision no direct candidate be fielded in coming GE14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SUPP Youth Central Chairman Michael\u00a0Tiang.\u00a0complimented the Chief Minister\u00a0DatukPatinggi\u00a0Abang\u00a0J<wbr \/>ohari\u00a0Tun\u00a0Openg\u00a0for upholding the spirit of\u00a0Barisan\u00a0Nasional\u00a0(BN) and maintaining the mutual respect between the component parties.<\/p>\n<p>Michael, who is also a Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, lauded the decision that direct candidates will not be fielded in the state for the coming 14th General Election (GE14).<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of SUPP, he also extended his\u00a0gratitude\u00a0to\u00a0Parti\u00a0Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri James\u00a0Masing\u00a0for urging that SUPP should be allowed to contest its seven traditional seats in GE14.<\/p>\n<p>Michael pointed out that the CM&#8217;s decision \u00a0concurs with SUPP&#8217;s resolution during its last Triennial Delegate Conference that there shall be no BN direct candidates, has cleared the air.
