Sarawak United Peoples\u2019 party (SUPP) Assistant Secretary of\u00a0Pending branch,\u00a0 Milton Foo lodged a police report yesterday at the\u00a0Simpang Tiga police station against State Assemblywoman Pending, Violet\u00a0Yong for making allegation against Indonesian children studying in\u00a0Sarawak which she claimed were illegal immigrants. The allegation were\u00a0posted in Yong’s facebook a few days ago.<\/p>\n
Att the One Stop centre, Foo said said the\u00a0allegation is baseless unless Yong came out with the evidences to\u00a0prove her statements.<\/p>\n
He asked how Yong knew that the students do not have permit to stay\u00a0and study in Sarawak unless she must have evidence and not to make\u00a0allegations.<\/p>\n
He said in Yong’s posting, she alleged that there were many illegal\u00a0immigrants studying in Sarawak as PM has approved the Indonesian to build\u00a050 Indonesian schools here.<\/p>\n
Foo said according to the posting, Yong asked, “Where is Sarawak\u00a0Autonomy? Today SUPP is defending Indonesian’s rights, supporting\u00a0Najib to sell off Sarawak’s rights through this! Is there any use of\u00a0SUPP? Dont you have eyes to see?”<\/p>\n
The said FB posting, said Foo is scandalous, seditious and incite\u00a0hatred not only against SUPP but also Sarawak government. He said Yong\u00a0also implied that PM is approving schools for illegal immigrants and\u00a0such remark is bigotry.<\/p>\n
“There was also another FB posting also allegeding SUPP as the party\u00a0that sells of Sarawak autonomy.<\/p>\n
Foo said if the comments come from an ordinary person, he would have\u00a0kept quiet but since it is a state assemblywoman, he deemed it\u00a0necessary for him to lodge a police report as it could ruin diplomatic\u00a0ties between Sarawak and Indonesia.<\/p>\n
He said he will report the matter to the Immigration department after\u00a0making the police report. He wanted them to investigate into the\u00a0matter and asked Yong to furnish the necessary evidence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
