Around \u00a0100 family members and friends of the late Chung Soon\u00a0Teck gathered at the Sarawak United peoples\u2019 Party (SUPP) headquarter, armed with\u00a0banners protested against the shooting of Chung. His wife had earlier lodged a\u00a0police report in Kuching.<\/p>\n

The family members and friends held banners with wording in Mandarin\u00a0calling the shooting as \u201ccruel\u201d,\u00a0\u2018seeking justice\u2019, \u2018pay back my life\u2019 and \u2018killing a scapegoat\u2019 were\u00a0held up by family members.<\/p>\n

Chung was shot in Pontianak after Indonesian police claimed that he\u00a0was a drug dealer who was trying to escape from their custody last\u00a0Saturday night. Three other Indonesians were arrested a couple of days\u00a0earlier in connection with the case.<\/p>\n

The family members have sought the assistance of Sentosa Chairman,\u00a0Wilfred Yap. Yap told reporters that he will write to the Sarawak\u00a0Police Commissioner, the Interpol and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to\u00a0get to the bottom of the issue. He said he will also seek the\u00a0President of SUPP, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian to ask the hospital to\u00a0hasten the post mortem as the family wanted to bury Chung.<\/p>\n

Chung\u2019s remains were brought back\u00a0on Tuesday night\u00a0and after a report\u00a0was lodged at Siburan, his remains were brought to the Sarawak general\u00a0hospital morgue.<\/p>\n

Three of Chung\u2019s friends had gone to Pontianak last Saturday for\u00a0holidays.<\/p>\n

According to the friends, four of them arrived in Pontianak about\u00a07 pm\u00a0driven by Chung in a Toyota Hilux. After getting out of the\u00a0Custom check at Indonesia, the four got out and were surrounded by\u00a0about 10 men who took away their mobile phones. The 10 were armed with\u00a0automatic rifles and pistols.<\/p>\n

The friends said they were driven separately with Indonesian\u00a0men and \u00a0were handcuffed when they got out of\u00a0the car before they were handed to a group of people who claimed to be\u00a0Indonesian Narcotic police.<\/p>\n

Three were released that night and Chung was detained.<\/p>\n

His wife and brothers went to Pontianak on Sunday after being told he\u00a0was detained.<\/p>\n

They arrived there to find he was killed. The family returned with\u00a0Chung\u2019s body and wanted answers to all the happenings.<\/p>\n

Chung\u2019s wife\u00a0said from the news, it meant that Chung was shot dead after his three\u00a0friends were brought back to the hotel.<\/p>\n

Chung left behind his wife, two daughters aged 17 and 20.<\/p>\n
