It confuses truth and creates falsehood as long as it can publicize the party. The ten new Chinese primary schools were in fact the results of talks between Gerakan, MCA and the local Chinese community.

3. The Prime Minister had last month promised to the Chinese community that the government would build new Chinese primary schools in those fast growing populated centres where Chinese residents formed the majority. The actions were meant to implement the policies of treating the Chinese community fairly. He also said that he would negotiate with MCA, Gerakan, SUPP and the LDP of Sabah over the question of building new Chinese primary schools. In fact this is the policy of the National BN, not just a localized policy. Chong Chieng Jen had purposely left out the statement of the Prime Minister, aiming to mislead the people for a cheap publicity. The DAP should stop fabricating issues, instead, DAP should make meaningful contributions to the people.

4. SUPP had repeatedly declared her stand and principles that the party would do its utmost to get the approval from the government for the building of new Chinese primary schools in populated centres where the majority of residents are Chinese. The party would at the same time help the relocation of those rural and suburban Chinese primary schools which faced shortage of intake of pupils. SUPP would try to accomplish the work jointly with the Federation of Chinese Primary Schools Boards of Management or other related school boards of management. SUPP would never compromise over the upholding of Chinese primary education. The party would never add curry favour by claptrap as did the DAP. The party would never try to instigate the people to go against the government. These actions would never help solving the problems of the Chinese primary education.

5. We want the DAP to reveal the list of results on Chinese primary education they had achieved since being elected as the people’s representatives.. They should stop query others without any self reflection.

We want to know how much DAP had given out their constituencies’ allocation to help the schools. It is curious, the money DAP collected at meetings and seminars had never being donated to the Chinese education and the Chinese community. Even in states ruled by the HARAPAN, such as Penang and Selangor, the sum of money given out to Chinese education are not necessarily more than the sum of grants given by the BN. DAP should ask itself, how much the party had helped the Chinese education?, what had DAP done for the Chinese education? And what it plans to do in the future.

6. Chong Chieng Jen had been the Kuching Bandar MP for a long period. What had he done for the Chinese primary education during this period? Had he ever strove to get the building of a new Chinese primary school?

1. Chong Chieng Jen said that Sarawak was not allocated any of the ten new Chinese primary schools. Chong is in fact trying to create hatred amongst the Sarawakians against the Central Government, aiming to gain the benefits of support to DAP. If Chong Chieng Jen and his groups were really working for the people and Sarawak, they should display their true efforts instead of criticizing the education department and the government everyday, expecting such criticism can bring about the building of new Chinese primary schools. They should work with theRead More

[1,7
