In his brief address, Ting urged the temple committee to continue with their good work and the preaching of goodwill among each other.<\/p>\n<p>He said they should also remember and appreciate that it is only in Malaysia that they are able to practise their choice of religion freely.<\/p>\n<p>From what he learned, Ting said it was good of the community to do gotong royong, give members moral support in time of sickness, and rejoice together during festivals.<\/p>\n<p>He said this is what makes a wonderful Sarawak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dato&#8217; Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, who officiated at the first anniversary of the Miri Tudan Chinese temple recently, praised the good work of its committee members.
