{"id":16482,"date":"2017-03-29T12:06:02","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T04:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=16482"},"modified":"2017-03-29T17:56:49","modified_gmt":"2017-03-29T09:56:49","slug":"medical-dental-cum-eye-camp-at-kampung-engkaruh-mongkos-in-serian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=16482","title":{"rendered":"Medical, dental cum eye camp at Kampung Engkaruh, Mongkos in Serian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A medical cum dental cum eye camp was conducted at Kampung Engkaruh, Mongkos in Serian District community hall,\u00a0 jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Kuching and Sathya Sai Health and Wellness Centre ( operated by Divine Will Society) on 26 th March 2017<\/p>\n<p>The team comprised 18 medical (doctors, dentists, natural therapist, pharmacist , health promoter and nurse) while the non-medical volunteers included Unimas students, hairdressers and teachers. Physical examination together with blood sugar and blood pressure tests were provided. Eye tests were also provided and several referrals for removal of cataracts were made to the Sarawak general hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Dental examination and tooth extraction were conducted by the dental officers. For those patients who were bed-ridden, house calls were made and two patients were found to have brain tumours that require immediate surgeries atthe Sarawak\u00a0 \u00a0general hospital.
