{"id":15804,"date":"2017-02-26T21:22:42","date_gmt":"2017-02-26T13:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=15804"},"modified":"2017-02-27T09:49:06","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T01:49:06","slug":"sjk-c-chung-hua-miri-upgraded-to-a-digital-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=15804","title":{"rendered":"SJK (C) Chung Hua Miri upgraded to a digital school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting congratulated \u00a0the effort by Ministry of Education as a great move for\u00a0SJK (C) Chung Hua Miri which has become the second Chinese\u00a0National Type School (SJKC) in the city to be upgraded into a\u00a0digital school, when launching the program at the school.<\/p>\n<p>He said now over 1000 students can use the digital facilities to improve conducive and interactive learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>Ting said the technology has become part and parcel of our lifestyle, enabling us to connect with each other, regardless of how far our distance. By including technology in teaching, it helps create a 21st century classroom, where it is more than one-way learning approach. Not only it makes the teacher\u2019s work easier, it attracts students\u2019 attention,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Digital school, Ting said was a combination of three functions \u2013 Campus portal, school management and usage of technological techniques in classroom. He noted that all the school\u2019s 37 classrooms have been upgraded with technological facilities, each costing about RM12, 000.<\/p>\n<p>In Miri, SJK (C) Chung Hua Krokop was the first Chinese national type school to be upgraded as a digital school.<\/p>\n<div><a
