{"id":13268,"date":"2016-10-27T17:51:37","date_gmt":"2016-10-27T09:51:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=13268"},"modified":"2016-10-27T22:26:07","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T14:26:07","slug":"mpp-second-half-of-the-2016-assessment-rate-is-due-on-october-31st","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=13268","title":{"rendered":"MPP: second half of the 2016 assessment rate is due on October 31st."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chairman of Padawan Municipal council (MPP) Lo Khere Chiang\u00a0reminded Padawan rate payers to pay out their second half of the\u00a02016 assessment rate which is due on October 31<sup>st<\/sup>, this coming Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In a press conference yesterday at the Padawan council with his\u00a0deputy, Dato&#8217; Ahmad Ibrahim, Lo said for the convenience of the\u00a0Padawan residents, the council will be opened this Saturday and Sunday\u00a0from 8 am to 4 pm, including during lunch hour.<\/p>\n<p>He said another good news is that the 2016 assessment rates has been\u00a0reduced for residential properties for those who had been paying RM700\u00a0or below.<\/p>\n<p>There are 71,534 properties in MPP area and out of that, 90 percent or\u00a064,380 residential properties are given reduction in their annual\u00a0assessment rates.<\/p>\n<p>He called to those ratepayers who are unsure of the amount of\u00a0assessment rates they need to pay for the second half of 2016 or have not \u00a0received their assessment rates bills or have misplace them to come\u00a0to the Rating and Valuation division at the council.<\/p>\n<p>Lo said they can call 082615566 to enquire too.<\/p>\n<p>A surcharge of 1 percent per month or part thereof will be levied if\u00a0payment of rates is made after October 31st.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_92614022.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-13269\" alt=\"img_92614022\" src=\"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_92614022-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_92614022-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_92614022-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chairman of Padawan Municipal council (MPP) Lo Khere Chiang\u00a0reminded Padawan rate payers to pay out their second half of the\u00a02016 assessment rate which is due on October 31st, this coming Monday.
