Sahferi Bin Tambi and Cr. Kasim Bin Was paid a visit to a\u00a0young patient at Kampung Betong in Landeh .<\/p>\n<p>Roslan Bin Toni suffered a sudden stroke attack while he was riding\u00a0his motorcycle causing him to get into an accident.<\/p>\n<p>After being told of the incident, Lo send the Batu Kitang Stroke\u00a0Support Group to pay Roslan a house visit, assessing his medical\/stroke situation with a Staff Nurse volunteer, Lucas Lee from Sarawak\u00a0General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Lo&#8217;s Assistant Lee Chia Soon helped Roslan to apply for welfare\u00a0assistance and wheelchair at Kebajikan while Lo himself contributed\u00a0RM500 to assist the family.<\/p>\n<p>Batu Kitang Stroke Support Group will assess Roslan&#8217;s case and guide\u00a0him and his family on weekly home physiotherapy to improve his\u00a0physical condition.<\/p>\n<p>At the resident of Roslan, Lo said stroke is one of the leading cause\u00a0of adult disability and too few people know what a stroke is or know\u00a0the symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>He added that they had set up a support group with professional nurses\u00a0for stroke survivors and caregivers in the areas of Batu Kitang. &#8220;We\u00a0want to provide help, support and information to stroke survivors and\u00a0caregivers. In addition, we seek to raise awareness of stroke\u00a0prevention and management,\u00a0 aim to recover patient&#8217;s speech, physical,\u00a0occupational and recreational abilities.
