Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting went with a Malaysian\u00a0delegation led by Woman Minister, Datuk Fatimah Abdullah to join a\u00a0discussion on the proposed setting up of China University of Petroluem\u00a0Miri college at the International Cooperation centre Beijing led by\u00a0Chen Zhen (Assistant Director).<\/p>\n

On September 19, Ting said the group visited the China University of\u00a0Petroluem is located in Huang Dao in Qing Dao to further discuss the\u00a0issue headed by President of China University of Petroluem \u00a0(CUP) Prof\u00a0Phd Shan Hong Hong with Prof Dr Yan Zi Feng, Zhou Ying, Luo Chun, Li\u00a0Jing Na.<\/p>\n

After the discussion, he added that Zhao Dongye Research Fellow and\u00a0Party Secretary of CPC Education Development Group Committee brought\u00a0and showed the Malaysian delegates the facilities of CUP.<\/p>\n

Presently this CUP has<\/p>\n

1 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a020, 000 undergraduate students<\/p>\n

2 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a05000 post graduate students<\/p>\n

3 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a054,400 on line students<\/p>\n

The proposed setting up of China University of Petroluem Miri College\u00a0is also part of China President \u00a0Xi Jin Ping ‘s new policy of “One\u00a0Belt One Road”<\/p>\n

“With strong support by the Sarawak Government especially our Chief\u00a0Minister Datuk Patinngi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s various statements and\u00a0in particular his recent speech made at Petronas Malaysia Day\u00a0Celebration in Bintulu recently, strong support of the President of\u00a0China University of Petroluem, \u00a0Party Secretary of CPC\u00a0Education Development Group Committe, Datuk Dr Paul Chan and his team\u00a0in HELP, there is high hope that the China University of Petroluem\u00a0Miri College will be a reality,” he added.<\/p>\n

This will benefit the Miriams and Sarawakians, said Ting.<\/p>\n
