{"id":11669,"date":"2016-07-29T14:30:22","date_gmt":"2016-07-29T06:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=11669"},"modified":"2016-07-29T17:02:47","modified_gmt":"2016-07-29T09:02:47","slug":"complaints-on-developer-failing-to-deliver-occupation-permits-for-house-buyers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=11669","title":{"rendered":"Complaints on developer failing to deliver occupation permits for house buyers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SUPP Public Complaints Bureau recently met a representative of purchasers of houses at Banquet Square in Sungai Moyan, Batu Kawa area, who complained that the developer has not delivered to them the occupation permits of their houses which they purchased some eight years ago.<\/p>\n<p>According to the representative of the purchasers, without an occupation permit, they are unable to refinance or resell their property and that is causing them great hardship. They further complained that Banks or Financial Institutions would not finance sub purchasers through the sub sale of their houses if they wanted to sell and\/or refinance their houses at a lower interest rate without an occupation permit. Furthermore if the occupation permits are not issued, in all likelihood, the developer also could not apply for individual land titles to be issued by Land &amp; Survey Department.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing the complaint, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau \u00a0has written to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) to inquire whether the developer concerned has submitted their application to Council for issuance of the Occupation Permit for the houses at Banquet Square.<\/p>\n<p>SUPP Public Complaints Bureau further requested MPP to give an explanation on why the Occupation Permit have not been issued \u00a0if the said Developer have already submitted their application to Council for issuance of the Occupation Permit.<\/p>\n<p>SUPP Public Complaints Bureau\u00a0views the matter seriously and\u00a0hopes that MPP will look into this matter on an urgent basis due to the hardship and inconvenience currently faced by purchasers of houses at Banquet Square.
