President of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian called on the government to give priority for Sarawakians to get jobs in Sarawak.<\/p>\n
Dr. Sim said he has received a number of email from the newly Sarawakian pharmacists graduates who was on Public Service Department (JPA)scholarship, and already went for interview with the Ministry of Heath and JPA in January, but was put on the waiting list, while some were rejected.<\/p>\n
He said there were vacancies available for pharmacists in Sarawak but, none of the Sarawakian pharmacist graduates were given the post.<\/p>\n
Since last October, Dr. Sim said about 15 to 20 newly graduated pharmacists from Sarawak, many of them are JPA scholars and was sent by the government to study pharmacy and they had no job but sit and wait at home for interviews.<\/p>\n
After the interviews, they still could not get job.\u00a0 A pharmacist, he pointed out must have a compulsory service for one to two years, so that they are allowed to practice in the private sectors.<\/p>\n
