{"id":8235,"date":"2015-11-01T14:12:01","date_gmt":"2015-11-01T06:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=8235"},"modified":"2015-11-01T15:34:15","modified_gmt":"2015-11-01T07:34:15","slug":"supp-launched-their-election-theme-safeguard-sarawak-with-more-autonomy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=8235","title":{"rendered":"SUPP launched their election theme: \u2018Safeguard Sarawak with more Autonomy\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SUPP\u00a0 launched their election theme \u2018Safeguard Sarawak with more Autonomy\u2019 during their 24th Annual Delegates Conference Sunday\u00a0 at their party headquarters, where delegates from all over 42 branches turned up in full force.<\/p>\n<p>Also invited to witness the grand ceremony were former presidents of SUPP, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. George Chan and Tan Sri Peter Chin.<\/p>\n<p>In their party resolutions, one was to affiliate to the party\u2019s political theme to increase the number of Parliament Seats for Sarawak as party demands for adequate representation in parliaments to safeguard Sarawak and Sabah interests, especially when parliament can use 2\/3rd majority to pass law affecting Sabah and Sarawak.<\/p>\n<p>The party also demand a higher percentage of returns on the collection of taxes, especially collection from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from the federal government.
