{"id":5451,"date":"2015-02-07T20:57:38","date_gmt":"2015-02-07T12:57:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=5451"},"modified":"2015-02-08T00:50:21","modified_gmt":"2015-02-07T16:50:21","slug":"supp-demand-for-electoral-fairness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=5451","title":{"rendered":"SUPP demand for electoral fairness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the Election commission objection closed by 5 pm yesterday, the department had received a total of 56 objections in the last one month.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, SUPP, led by Secretary General, Dato\u2019 Sebastian Ting,\u00a0 were there to hand in their petition.<\/p>\n<p>Ting handed over a \u201cdemand for electoral fairness\u201d petition where the party had collected 7,301 signatures.<\/p>\n<p>He said SUPP protested on four areas, Pahlawan, Dudong, Serian and Senadin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe proposed to the EC that the biggest number of voters was in Pahlawan where the number is 31,388 and the smallest area Gedong\u00a0 is 6,340 which is a ratio of 1:5.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an in balance of voters in different area.\u00a0 So you can see the gap is wide and we are asking for a more fair and balance number of voters in each constituency.
