Prime Minister Datuk\u00a0\u00a0Seri Mohd Najib\u00a0\u00a0Tun Abdul Razak\u00a0 said he came all the way to be with SUPP to give them his support and assured them that he will be with them as the Barisan Nasional is a party of principle.<\/p>\n

The rest, he said is up to SUPP to build up the support.<\/p>\n

Officiating at the opening of the SUPP 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0Delegates Conference of the party at the Dewan Sa\u2019ati at the Party Headquarters here yesterday, Najib said after\u00a0three years of bickering and three years of infighting, he hoped the new team will bring back the unity much needed for the party to grow and win the election.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope this election signals the end of factionalism within SUPP.\u00a0\u00a0And I hope this meeting means that tomorrow\u00a0when you elect the new leadership of your party, you will unite behind him, I want you to\u00a0\u00a0be stronger, ready to fight for Barisan Nasional (BN), ready to make sure that SUPP will contribute to the big victory for Barisan Nasional in the next election,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou need also to give people a new hope for the future. You must set a next direction for SUPP. You must have a real concrete plan; how you want to serve the people of Sarawak, how you want to solve their problems, how do you want to bring real\u00a0\u00a0change\u00a0\u00a0for the rakyat\u00a0\u00a0and that is the task of the new leadership of SUPP.\u00a0 Me and Tan Sri Adenan – we are here to support you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Najib pointed out that the opposition parties are in a real mess. \u201cIf you talk about peace, stability and progress, you really think the opposition can ensure peace, stability and progress? Only BN can do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Najib said as chairman of Barisan Nasional\u00a0\u00a0he has always\u00a0\u00a0stood by\u00a0\u00a0SUPP\u00a0\u00a0because he believes in the politics of principle, and that nobody\u00a0\u00a0is larger and bigger than the interest of the party.<\/p>\n

SUPP\u00a0\u00a0must\u00a0\u00a0continue\u00a0\u00a0as a political party, he said. \u201cWe don\u2019t de-register\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0opposition parties . If we want to look for faults, DAP has a lot of faults;\u00a0\u00a0PKR\u00a0\u00a0is even\u00a0\u00a0worse, to the\u00a0\u00a0extend of throwing chairs in meeting.<\/p>\n
