Each bowl reflects their thrift, adaptability, and unity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap, who is of Hakka descent, shared personal reflections of his late grandmother preparing Lui Cha during family reunions. \u201cShe used to say, \u2018This bowl holds the sweat and wisdom of our forefathers.\u2019 Her words continue to guide me,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that promoting traditional dishes like Lui Cha can also boost local food tourism. \u201cBy showcasing our heritage, we not only attract visitors but also empower local entrepreneurs and create jobs,\u201d he said, noting that every small business selling herbs or conducting cultural workshops contributes to the state\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap also highlighted the sustainability aspect of the dish. \u201cLui Cha\u2019s use of fresh, local ingredients reflects the values of farm-to-table practices.
