People are proud to be Sarawakians as Sarawak is different with its immigration autonomy, racial and religious harmony and strong financial resources. Here, we set up Unifor (Unit for Other Religions) to take care of the needs of other religions and the government supports Chinese education annually with funding allocation since Tok Nan’s (the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem) time.

The latest one, he said, was setting up the sovereign fund to maintain Sarawak’s good financial position so as to ensure a bright future for Sarawak and the future generations.

Ting thanked the voters for giving them the mandate during the state election and hoped they would do so in the Parliament election.

Also at the function are Batu Kitang assemblyman and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Lo Khere Chiang, Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap and SUPP Stakan Branch chairman Dato Sim Kiang Chiok.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) will work towards capturing seven parliamentary seats for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the parliamentary election after the big win for them in the just concluded state election.
