{"id":28011,"date":"2021-03-24T13:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T05:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28011"},"modified":"2021-03-25T13:16:31","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T05:16:31","slug":"state-government-heading-the-right-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=28011","title":{"rendered":"State government heading the right way"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During former PH government\u2019s 24 months tenure, they approved Perak\u2019s RM1.6 billion Kulim International Airport project, yet they cancelled RM0.8 billion Sarawak\u2019s Batang Lupar bridge project due to funding shortage as claimed by former PH government at that time, said a statement issued by SUPP Central Publicity and Information department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It stated that obviously, it was a lie to Sarawakians from PH because since they can approved RM1.6 billion Kulim airport project instead of Batang Lupar bridge project which only cost half of the approved funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides Kulim\u2019s airport project, former PH government also approved Rm0.3 billion development funding for  Sidam Logistics, Aerospace And Manufacturing Hub (SLAM), all because of Perak was under PH\u2019s governing and former PH\u2019s prime minister Tun Mahathir\u2019s son Mukhriz Mahathir was the Perak\u2019s menteri besar at that time, and PH not dare to reject their demand, in contrast, Sarawak was the opposition State during PH tenure, hence, former PH government penalize Sarawak through the cancellation of various projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Statement praised Batang Lupar Bridge project as another reinstated project by Sarawak government and approved by PN government. Before this, Batu Kawa\u2019s Waterfront park project also has been reinstated by GPS government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Batang Lupar Bridge will be the longest river bridge in Malaysia and is scheduled to be completed by year 2025, if the project was not abandoned by former PH government before, the construction progress will have reached 50% by now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During former PH government\u2019s 22 months tenure, PH Sarawak has always assisted them to oppress Sarawak in which they agreed on development projects cancellation and never fight for Sarawak rights which included the promised manifesto on returning of 20% oil loyalty and 50% tax collected to Sarawak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also criticized DAP Sarawak chairman Chong Chieng Jen was the deputy minister and former PKR Sarawak chairman Baru Bian was the Works minister during former PH government tenure, yet both of them never voiced out their disagreement on project cancellation and fight for more development funding for Sarawak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During former PH government\u2019s 24 months tenure, they approved Perak\u2019s RM1.6 billion Kulim International Airport project, yet they cancelled RM0.8 billion Sarawak\u2019s Batang Lupar bridge project due to funding shortage as claimed by former PH government at that time, said a statement issued by SUPP Central Publicity and Information department.
