{"id":26866,"date":"2020-08-31T00:54:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-30T16:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=26866"},"modified":"2020-08-31T22:59:43","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T14:59:43","slug":"pas-should-be-sensitive-to-christians-feeling-says-wilfred-yap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=26866","title":{"rendered":"PAS should be sensitive to Christian&#8217;s feeling, says Wilfred Yap"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PAS-Pasir Puteh MP&nbsp;Nik Muhammad Zawawi&nbsp;was out-of-line when he imposed his personal impressions of other religions on alcohol consumption in Parliament and retorted that \u201cKitab Injil ini dipesongkan ataupun diubah\u201d.&nbsp; Insensitive and careless words hurt and could easily destroy the harmonious social fabric that makes up Malaysia, said Wilfred Yap, Sentosa SUPP Branch Chairman.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yap said the unrepentant PAS-Pasir Puteh MP has shown himself to be &nbsp;arrogant through his insensitive statements and refusal to apologize which does not help in nation building and unifying the multi religious, multi racial &nbsp;and multi cultural make up of our nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Religion, he added should not be brought into Parliament and religious feelings should never interfere with parliamentary decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Using religion to mobilize the religious sensitivities of people for whatever agenda will invariably result in conflicts as in the case of the PAS-Pasir Puteh MP. All Members of Parliament should take pragmatic secular and not religious approaches in solving societal issues, move ahead, change and adjust itself with the new arising challenges of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is only proper that parliamentarians exercise due diligence and care when addressing the August House on matters that affect the whole nation?
