A two days public free course entitled Flood and Water Safety\u00a0Awareness Course initiated by Pusat Latihan Kelemasan Penyelamat\u00a0(PLPK), jointly organised by Jawatankuasa Dewan Siburan and Siburan\u00a0District Office.<\/p>\n

The main intention to organise this course is to create awareness and\u00a0basic guideline to the public and those involve in the rescue or\u00a0relief mission on water safety. For instance, on the prepareness and\u00a0during drown incidents or flood relief. Every time when\u00a0incident happened, victim may incurs with heavy loses due to lack of\u00a0knowledge on water safety. Not to mention lost of precious life.<\/p>\n

Knowing how to swim and lifeguard swimming skill are totally two\u00a0different things. Many may know how to swim well but may not be able\u00a0to save a drown victim. If 10 swimmers went to save drown victims,\u00a0most probably 8 of them may not survive themselves.<\/p>\n

Consequently, we organise this course to make aware to the public that\u00a0water safety awareness course is a practical emergency response\u00a0knowledges for any eventuality for example how to call for emergency\u00a0rescue to prevent panicking when incident happens.<\/p>\n

This water safety awareness talk is initiated by Pusat Latihan\u00a0Penyelamat Kelemasan (PLPK) and jointly organise by SRB Chung Hua\u00a0Siburan. The main purpose is to create awareness to students, parent\u00a0or their guardian and teachers on the danger of water and guideline\u00a0during flood and drown.<\/p>\n

Every school holiday especially during the year end, it is also the\u00a0peak period for drown case hence, PLPK put a lot of emphasis to\u00a0inculcate students especially on water safety knowledge through\u00a0preventation and prepareness.<\/p>\n
