{"id":23709,"date":"2019-01-14T20:30:34","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T12:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23709"},"modified":"2019-01-15T20:22:40","modified_gmt":"2019-01-15T12:22:40","slug":"gps-the-way-to-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23709","title":{"rendered":"GPS, the way to go"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Minister and Chairman of GPS, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun\u00a0Openg believed that the RM6.2 billion worth of projects which are in\u00a0different states of implementation will give help Sarawakians to look\u00a0forward to better infrastructures, utilities, agriculture and housing\u00a0in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Stating this at a\u00a0 press conference after a progress report briefing\u00a0by Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Local Government , Ministry of\u00a0Utilities, Ministry of Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and\u00a0Regional Development and Ministry of Infrastructure Development and\u00a0Ministry in Miri today, Abang Jo said the project included Rural\u00a0Transformation Projects (RTP), RM2.8 billion for rural water supply\u00a0and RM2.37 billion for rural electricity supply projects.<\/p>\n<p>He added that projects such as roads and bridges are all underway,\u00a0some still in feasibility studies while others with construction\u00a0already begun which will create a huge impact for the people. The\u00a0projects will also include bridges to Batang Lupar, Batang Lassa,\u00a0Batang Rambungan and Batang Kemena.There will also be\u00a0 construction of\u00a0airports at Sadok, Spaoh in Betong and Bukit Mabong District in Kapit\u00a0which covers the whole of Baleh state constituency.<\/p>\n<p>On housing programme the state government will ensure construction of\u00a0affordable houses between 2,000 to 2,500 units costing between\u00a0RM90,000 to RM150,000 in Sarawak this year.<\/p>\n<p>Abang Jo also launched a booklet containing the 65 initiatives which\u00a0he has spearheaded under \u2018Team Abang Jo\u2019 in the state government since\u00a0taking over as the top post from the late Adenan Satem.
