{"id":23665,"date":"2019-01-07T15:24:11","date_gmt":"2019-01-07T07:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23665"},"modified":"2019-01-07T17:34:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-07T09:34:46","slug":"flood-mitigation-project-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=23665","title":{"rendered":"Flood mitigation project delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minister for Local government and Housing, Datuk Dr Sim Hui Hian and\u00a0MPP Chairman Yb Lo Khere Chiang.inspected a drainage upgrading project\u00a0in front of SMK Jalan Arang with Pengetua Mdm Fong this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Lo said it was regrettably that the 900k drainage upgrading project\u00a0has past their deadline and the contractors has promised to speed up\u00a0their construction works after being advised to do.<\/p>\n<p>Since the end of last year MPP have had two meetings with the\u00a0contractor to ask the contractor to complete the project fast to avoid\u00a0year end rainy season.<\/p>\n<p>Lo said due to the delay, the area would be full of flash flood\u00a0causing a lot of inconvenience for the people and students in the\u00a0school.<\/p>\n<p>This project is financed by the Sarawak government.
