SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently informed by\u00a0 residents staying in Everbright Park, 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0Mile, Penrissen Road of an illegal\u00a0 dump at the road side and vandalism of a Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Sign Board notifying the public of a fine of RM2,000 if caught for illegal dumping.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Following the information and request for assistance received, SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap together with Kapitan Cheong Ek Boh had gone to inspect and assess the situation to see what can be done to resolve the problem faced by the residents of Everbright Park. The matter have been brought to the attention of MPP.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Instead of relying wholly on MPP for cleanliness, SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap hopes that residents of all housing estates to be proactive in the cleanliness of their own residential area through \u201cgotong royong\u201d activities and together with MPP build a beautiful, clean and sustainable housing area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap hopes that the public is aware that illegally dumped rubbish costs rate payers a lot of money each year in removal charges. Instead of dumping rubbish illegally, anyone who needs to dispose bulk rubbish should contact\u00a0Trienekens @ (082) 612300<\/b>\u00a0for their rates and charges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap would also like to encourage the public to play their role by assisting MPP through reporting or lodging a complaint if they see anyone illegally dumping rubbish by the roadside. The public can report to MPP the offenders who dispose rubbish illegally by giving MPP information such as the registration number of the offender\u2019s vehicle, location, date, time, description of rubbish and description of offender. A photo of the offender of illegal rubbish dumping taken from a hand phone will be very effective in identifying the offender.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
