{"id":20469,"date":"2017-12-30T21:51:21","date_gmt":"2017-12-30T13:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=20469"},"modified":"2017-12-31T08:28:09","modified_gmt":"2017-12-31T00:28:09","slug":"michael-tiang-dap-trying-to-gain-political-mileage-on-an-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=20469","title":{"rendered":"Michael Tiang: DAP trying to gain political mileage on an accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Tiang, the Youth Central Chief for Sarawak United Peoples\u2019 Party (SUPP) today released a press statement to condemn Democratic Action Party\u2019s\u00a0 (DAP) motive of using the tragedy happened on 26 Dec whereby a motorcyclist killed after plunging into a deep hole by the roadsides, to gain political mileage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce again, DAP went on news to play politics by seizing every opportunity to put a blame on Dr. Sim Kui Hian for everything that happened in Sarawak and demand Dr. Sim to bear responsibility for everything that goes wrong. This in fact is DAP a Malayan political party\u2019s SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). For their political publicity, they could even stoop so low to use a tragedy of the motorcyclist to make frivolous\u00a0 allegations. They are bankrupt of ideas and issues now!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYB Chong Chieng Jen, a very seasoned State Assemblyman for over 10 years should have known so well that the hole at the flood mitigation construction site that killed the said motorcyclist is under DBKU (Kuching North City Commission) jurisdiction and Chong knows that DBKU is not under the purview of Dr. Sim\u2019s Ministry of Local Government,\u201d said Tiang in his statement. \u201cAnd yet, being as irresponsible as usual, Chong chose to cling to his political play by making false allegations against Dr. Sim to hoodwink and mislead people at every opportunity available to DAP so that they can come and divide Sarawakians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dMy party president Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, the minister for Local Government and Housing is now on his annual leave at overseas, otherwise he would be the first to be at the scene of the accident. He was very much saddened by the tragedy happened on the Boxing Day which caused the life of a motorcyclist. Dr. Sim had in fact sent our youth leaders to the accident scene at first instance to investigate the cause of the tragedy.
