{"id":20350,"date":"2017-12-15T17:19:48","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T09:19:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=20350"},"modified":"2017-12-17T08:19:28","modified_gmt":"2017-12-17T00:19:28","slug":"grants-for-schools-in-miri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=20350","title":{"rendered":"Grants for schools in Miri"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sarawak Local Government Minister, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian\u00a0gave federal government grant to all the SJK and SMJK schools in Miri\u00a0yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>In giving out the RM1.08 million grant, Dr. Sim who is also the\u00a0Housing Minister with Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato&#8217; Sebastian Ting\u00a0gave the grant at the Chung Hua Krokop school to all the headmasters and\u00a0headmistresses.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sim said the beauty of Sarawak chinese schools are that they do\u00a0not only cater to the Chinese students but all races and in some\u00a0cases, there are more bumiputeras than chinese in the schools.<\/p>\n<p>He said when these students graduated, they have a better chance of\u00a0going global for their career including China.
