Minister for Local government, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian expressed his concern when he found out that for certain areas in Batu Kawa, there where more than\u00a020 street lights which are not working for\u00a0more than 2 weeks!<\/p>\n

Dr. Sim said he has called up Sarawak Energy at 1am on its line 1300883111 to report!<\/p>\n

” Some thing is very wrong. Either our system of maintenance is not working\u00a0or our citizens are also not bothered!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI had directed my Ministry to have more greater citizen involvement to be\u00a0the “eyes & ears” in helping all the councils in Sarawak on scheduled works,\u00a0(which will be published in the local community) on drain cleaning and\u00a0grass cuttings.<\/p>\n

Together we can make your local area a better living\u00a0place (let’s don’t just finger pointing but let’s act),” he stressed.<\/p>\n
