{"id":13165,"date":"2016-10-24T16:57:10","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T08:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=13165"},"modified":"2016-10-25T08:53:46","modified_gmt":"2016-10-25T00:53:46","slug":"13165","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=13165","title":{"rendered":"Reclaim Sarawak Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Dr. James Masing Jemut hoped\u00a0that the Opposition party will support the Sarawak Barisan Nasional in\u00a0the tabling of the bill to reclaim Sarawak rights as enshrined in MA63\u00a0is timely.<\/p>\n<p>He said for over 53 years, Sarawak has been shortchanged by Malaya and\u00a0it is more than enough.&#8221; We cannot and should not take it anymore.\u00a0With the tabling of this bill it will &#8216;wake up&#8217; putrajaya of our\u00a0rights,&#8221; said who is also the Minister of Infrastructure Development\u00a0and Transportation and the President of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS).<\/p>\n<p>Sarawak Chief Minister Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said\u00a0yesterday that the state government will table a motion at the State\u00a0Legislative Assembly sitting next month on reclaiming Sarawak\u2019s\u00a0rights.<\/p>\n<p>Adenan said the motion would specifically focus on the need for the\u00a0federal government to observe Sarawak rights as enshrined in the\u00a0Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), The Inter-Government Committee Report\u00a0(IGC) 1963 and the Cobbold Commission Report 1962.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe motion will be tabled by one of the (state) ministers,\u201d he told\u00a0reporters after opening Parti Rakyat Sarawak\u2019s (PRS) 4th Triennial\u00a0Delegates Conference (TDC) in Bintulu on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Sarawak Local government Minister, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim\u00a0Kui Hian said current YB from Sarawak be it YB Members of Parliament\u00a0of Malaysia or YB Dewan Udangan Sarawak must consistently and same\u00a0message in both Houses (Parliament and DUN Sarawak).\u00a0&#8220;Apart from supporting this motion in DUN Sarawak sitting in Nov, I\u00a0will speak on this topic in Senate sitting in Malaysia Parliament in\u00a0Dec, conveying the voices of Sarawakians.
