{"id":10948,"date":"2016-06-17T17:34:05","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T09:34:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=10948"},"modified":"2016-06-17T20:59:53","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T12:59:53","slug":"government-to-upgrade-hospitals-health-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=10948","title":{"rendered":"Government to upgrade hospitals, health services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said that the Health Department is aiming to upgrade its regional\u00a0hospitals in Miri and Sibu into general hospitals development and\u00a0upgrading of health facilities were among measures taken by the\u00a0government to improve the quality of health services for the public.<\/p>\n<p>In his ministerial winding-up speech , D r Sim said four new health facilities had started operation since\u00a0March this year, namely UTC Miri 1Malaysia Clinic, UTC Sibu 1Malaysia\u00a0Clinic, Rantau Panjang 1Malaysia Clinic in Sibu and Sibu Jaya Health\u00a0Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>He said under the first Rolling Plan of the 11th Malaysia Plan, three new\u00a0clinics and one dental clinic with total ceiling of RM74 million have\u00a0been approved. They are type-2 health clinic at Tabuan Jaya in\u00a0Kuching, type-5 health clinic in Abok (Sri Aman), type-7 health clinic\u00a0in Metalun (Belaga) and a dental clinic in Daro.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a proposal for a type-4 new health clinic in Daro has been\u00a0submitted under second Rolling Plan of 11th Malaysia Plan (2017\/18)\u00a0for consideration and other projects approved were the expansion and upgrading of\u00a0Miri Hospital Clinical Block amounting to RM350 million and the\u00a0development of a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Limbang\u00a0Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Sarawak General Hospital will have six new elevators and two for Sibu Hospital would be implemented this\u00a0year.<\/p>\n<p>The Sri Aman Hospital is expected to be completed in October, 2018.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/image123.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10949\" alt=\"image1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/image123-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/image123-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/image123-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/image123.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said that the Health Department is aiming to upgrade its regional\u00a0hospitals in Miri and Sibu into general hospitals development and\u00a0upgrading of health facilities were among measures taken by the\u00a0government to improve the quality of health services for the public.
