Another Desperate Move by DAP: SUPP Wronged for Being Honest.<\/p>\n
We condemn DAP Christina Chiew\u2019s ill-intentioned, malicious, untrue\u00a0Facebook posting and the subsequent lodging of a police report where\u00a0she fabricated the story and accused SUPP Batu Kawah Service Centre\u00a0because we SUPP insisted on following the rules and legal procedure.<\/p>\n
At the Resident’s Office’s (RO) request, SUPP HQ was asked to help\u00a0distribute some 4824 BR1M vouchers to qualified recipients in the\u00a0Padungan, Pending, Batu Lintang, Kota Sentosa and Batu Kawah areas.\u00a0Having the people’s interests at heart, the RO wants to avoid any\u00a0possible delays in distribution the vouchers; and to ensure that only\u00a0qualified recipients receive their BRIM vouchers at the soonest\u00a0possible.<\/p>\n
Since 23rd March 2016, SUPP HQ have distributed some 3132 vouchers;\u00a0and for those uncollected ones, we have been making calls and urge\u00a0qualified residents to come forward to collect their BRIM vouchers.<\/p>\n
This time around, Mr Lim Ah Ted, representative from the Batu Kawah\u00a0SUPP Service Centre, then decided to take the initiative to personally\u00a0deliver some 125 BR1M Vouchers to qualified residents in Batu Kawah.\u00a0It has always been our policy that we only deliver the voucher to the\u00a0intended recipient and we need to check against the Photo ID\/ Identity\u00a0Card for verification before we can release the voucher. Any\u00a0uncollected and undelivered vouchers must be returned to the party HQ,\u00a0to be handed back to the RO. Every piece of voucher is being accounted\u00a0for and reports audited.<\/p>\n
Of the 125 BR1M Vouchers being delivered by Mr Lim Ah Ted to Batu\u00a0Kawah, 31 vouchers were indeed addressed to DAP Ms Chiew\u2019s office. We\u00a0did not know who are those recipients but those 31 vouchers have\u00a0registered their address at this DAP service center. However this is\u00a0against the collection policy because we cannot release the voucher to\u00a0just anyone at the address. We must hand deliver every piece of\u00a0voucher to the intended recipient and we need to conduct the\u00a0verification process.<\/p>\n
This verification process had apparently upset DAP Chiew. She demanded\u00a0that vouchers being handed over to her and she threatened Mr Lim by\u00a0saying that she wants to issue a press release if Mr Lim refuses.\u00a0Mr Lim was not able to satisfy her demand because handling over\u00a0vouchers to anyone aside from the recipient is a crime. SUPP wants to\u00a0comply to the guidelines given by the RO.<\/p>\n
We do not understand what’s her intention in this matter and\u00a0fortunately our Mr Lim did not comply to her demand. Instead, Mr Lim\u00a0suggested that she goes directly to SUPP HQ to submit her request but\u00a0she declined. DAP Ms Chiew then threatened SUPP that she will issue a\u00a0press statement on the matter and complain about SUPP. Mr Lim was\u00a0puzzled and did not know what to do.<\/p>\n
SUPP is now being accused by DAP that we have ‘stolen’ the BRIM\u00a0Vouchers. Our good name has been smeared by her on her FB and she\u00a0claimed that a police report has been made.<\/p>\n
SUPP has all along been upholding the spirit of integrity and\u00a0transparency\u00a0but now we are accused of stealing when we insist on\u00a0doing the right thing. It is so apparent that this desperate move by\u00a0DAP to accuse us is an attempt to distract the voters from her failure\u00a0to serve the people in Batu Kawah over the last 5 years. This is\u00a0another cheap publicity stunt by DAP which is uncalled for.<\/p>\n
We demand that she retracts all the false accusations against SUPP and\u00a0to issue an immediate apology for impugning our integrity; failing\u00a0which, we reserve the right to take all necessary legal actions\u00a0against her.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
