Sebastian Ting giving out free masks to Miri schools
Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Sebastian Ting has been going round to give masks to students the last few days to help them.
Ting said Sarawak was hit by the second wave due to a spike of cases in Kuching, Serian and Samarahan, thus, they have to go back to strict inter-district travel.
Miri, he said is zero case for the past 68 days and he is thankful to the Miriams for seriously applying the SOP.
Ting added that by August Ist, everyone has to wear masks thus it is going to be hard for some.
Since March lockdown, many lost their jobs and bring home “bread and butter” is already difficult thus having to buy masks is challenging for such people. He advised the public not to come out unnecessary.
He again thanked the frontliners for their effort.
Yesterday, Ting went to SK South (550 face masks), SK St. Columba (650 Face Masks), SK St. Joseph (630 Face Masks), SJK North (500 face masks) and SK Pulau Melayu (200 face masks).
