Submit application for funding of Unifor, Datuk Sebastian Ting
Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting urged non-Muslim organisations to submit applications for funding to upgrade their houses of worship or for other religious-related activities by April.
He said Sarawak government had allocated RM50 million to Unifor and last year 212 applicants were approved.
In 2017, RM10 million was allocated to Unifor; this had increased to RM15 million in 2018.
The increase, he added in allocation showed the Sarawak government’s concern for Sarawakians of all races and religions.
He presented RM200,000 from Unifor to help upgrade the Miri Gurdwara Sahib facilities, the kitchen, the food hall, and the dining area.
Ting also presented RM60,000 from Unifor to the Lian Hua San San Ching Taoism Association for the repair and maintenance works on the San Ching Temple.
